Temenos Surprises with a Comeback
In the second quarter, Temenos increased its annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 11 percent year-on-year to 791 million dollar. Revenues from subscriptions and SaaS were particularly dynamic, rising by 24 percent at constant currency, while the maintenance segment grew by 10 percent. EBIT rose by 28 percent to 115,7 million dollar, accompanied by a four-percentage-point increase in the margin. These figures were published by the company after market close on Tuesday.
Second Quarter Delivered Strongly
CEO Jean-Pierre Brulard highlighted the sales performance in Europe and North America, where existing client relationships were deepened and new logos were acquired in the first six months of the year. The weak start in the first quarter was fully offset by the strong performance in the second quarter. This particularly surprised analysts.
Targets Raised
Based on the half-year results, Temenos has raised its guidance for 2025. The company now expects EBIT growth of at least 9 percent (previously at least 5 percent), EPS growth of 10 to 12 percent (previously 7 to 9 percent), and subscription and SaaS revenue growth of at least 6 percent.
Its longer-term targets for 2028: ARR of at least 1,2 billion dollar and EBIT of approximately 450 million dollar.
