Raiffeisen Restructuring Claims Casualties

Raiffeisen Switzerland announced on Monday that it is simplifying its organizational structure.

As part of the restructuring, the «Operating Service» department will be dissolved. This unit, established in 2022, was responsible for adapting the group’s strategy to its operational business and driving continuous process optimization within the group. According to the statement, the responsibilities of this department will now be distributed across existing departments.

Reduction to Six Departments

Starting November 1, Raiffeisen Switzerland will operate with only six departments: «Risk & Compliance,» «Finance & Services,» «IT,» «Products & Investment Services,» «Corporate Clients, Treasury & Markets,» and «Raiffeisenbank Services.» This move aims to reduce interfaces within the strategy implementation process.

Notably absent from the new structure is Uwe Krakau, who joined Raiffeisen in mid-2022 as Head of «Operating Services.» Krakau was described by finews.ch at the time as a «transformation and project expert with broad expertise and leadership experience in the IT sector, specializing in the financial industry.»

Krakau will be leaving the bank.
