Leonteq Shareholders Form New Group

After the share transaction reported at the beginning of March, a new shareholder group has emerged at Leonteq. It consists of Rainer-Marc Frey, Adrian Gut, Felix Oegerli, Tatjana Frey and Herbert Item, as the company announced on Friday.

Together they hold around 5,57 million Leonteq shares, or 30,1 percent of the outstanding stock. A large portion of these shares is held indirectly through H21 Macro Limited, Cayman Islands, the statement added.

At the beginning of the week it was reported that Raiffeisen Switzerland would sell a stake of 22,7 percent in Leonteq. The banking group will thereby reduce its participation to just 7 percent.

This includes the sale of 16,2 percent to H21 Macro Limited and a further 6,5 percent to four private investors.

The transaction remains subject to the usual approvals by the relevant supervisory authorities and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026 at the latest, Leonteq added.

The shares of the fintech company, which operates a marketplace for structured investment solutions, reacted with a noticeable price increase to the change in the shareholder structure. The share price rose from around 11,30 francs on Monday to as high as 14,86 francs in the middle of the week. Yesterday’s closing price stood at 14,10 francs. In March 2022, the stock was still trading at around 76 francs.
