As of the beginning of September, GAM has appointed Andrea Astone as the new Client Director at the Geneva office. He will focus on wholesale clients in the French- and Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland and will report to the Head of Switzerland Distribution, Daniel Durrer, according to a statement released on Thursday.

Astone brings 16 years of experience in fund distribution and has worked across various client and product segments, the statement added. Previously, he held the role of Head of Global Strategic Relationships & Head of Responsible Investment Distribution at Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

GAM aims to further expand its global sales capabilities, with additional hires to be announced in the coming weeks.
