Seba Top Executive Exits

Morgan Pierce left her job as head of marketing at Seba Crypto at the end of April, two people familiar with the matter told finews.com. Pierce confirmed her exit to finews.com, saying she had begun looking at outside opportunities after the aspiring crypto bank inked a partnership with Julius Baer in February.

Her exit comes as Seba Crypto hires dozens of staff including traders, salespeople, and compliance specialists in a hiring drive. The Zug-based firm has said it wants to take up business this year – but first needs to clinch a bank license from Swiss financial regulator Finma. The company, run by ex-UBS banker Guido Buehler, currently employs north of 50 people, more than double from year-end.

New Role at Industry Body

Pierce began as marketing chief for the Crypto Valley Association, a Zug-based industry group for digital start-ups, this month. The body is recovering from a tumultuous period marked by strategic differences and management exits, finews.com reported in February.

«My skill set and heritage is helping start-ups design and launch their brand with global impact, which is what I’m looking forward to do for other promising fintech and blockchain companies in the sector,» Pierce told finews.com
