Multi-Family Office Strengthens Team with Venture Capital Founder
Multi family office Novum Partners is expanding its team in Zurich, as finews has learned: Janic Frölicher joins the firm as a Senior Banker. He will work under the leadership of partner Sebastian Jeck.
Frölicher co-founded venture capital firm Backbone Ventures. There, he was responsible for two areas: building the investment business and managing investor relationships. His remit included financial and commercial due diligence, transaction structuring, and the strategic development of portfolios.
Extensive venture capital experience
In addition, he advised founders of portfolio companies on strategic and operational matters. At the same time, he led investor relations and maintained relationships with private and institutional capital providers.
With the expansion of its Zurich team, Novum Partners says it aims to serve entrepreneurial families in German-speaking Europe with an independent advisory model. Its modernized offices near Löwenplatz are positioned as the hub for further regional expansion.
«Rare combination»
«Janic Frölicher brings a rare combination of analytical depth and entrepreneurial experience,» says Sebastian Jeck, Partner at Novum Partners. «His perspective strengthens our team and supports our mission to offer clear and independent solutions to entrepreneurial families.»
Frölicher, for his part, points to rising expectations among entrepreneurial families for advisors who understand both financial and operational realities: «The independent setup at Novum Partners is the ideal environment for that type of collaboration.»
Expansion trajectory
With Frölicher’s arrival, Novum Partners continues its organic growth strategy and plans to further expand its footprint in German-speaking Switzerland.
The firm, originally founded in Geneva, expanded to Zurich last summer, as finews reported.
