VZ Attracts Net New Money and Increases Profit
The Zurich-based VZ Group, which specialises in financial advisory, asset management and retirement planning, benefited from inflows of client funds and strong demand for advisory services. In 2025, the company reported net profit of 236,4 million francs, an increase of 7,9 percent compared with the previous year, according to a statement released on Friday.
Total operating income rose by 9,4 percent to 574,5 million francs. The main revenue pillar remains income from assets under management, which climbed by 15 percent to 382,1 million francs. As expected, banking income was the only component to decline, falling by 10 percent as a result of lower interest rates.
Client Growth Drives Assets under Management
In 2025, more private individuals and companies once again sought advice from VZ. Advisory revenues increased by 13,4 percent. On a net basis, around 10’500 new clients opted for at least one of VZ’s platforms. Compared with the previous year, the total number of clients rose by 12,7 percent to 94’433.
This was also reflected in client assets. Net new money amounted to 5,8 billion francs, compared with 5,1 billion francs in the prior-year period.
Assets under management increased by a substantial 16,6 percent over the course of the year to 61,8 billion francs. According to the company, this provides a solid foundation for future revenue development.
The profit increase is also set to benefit shareholders. The Board of Directors is proposing to raise the dividend to 2,95 francs per share (previous year: 2,73 francs), which would distribute 50 percent of net profit to shareholders.
For the current year, Giulio Vitarelli, Chairman of the Executive Board, expects revenue and net profit growth to return to the average levels of recent years. «We expect demand for our expertise to continue rising, as in previous years. As interest income will remain lower for the time being, growth in banking income will still be restrained in the first half of the year,» he said.
Long-Standing Board Member to Step Down
A long-standing member of the Board of Directors has announced his departure. After more than 30 years on the supervisory body, Albrecht Langhart has informed the company that he will not stand for re-election at the next Annual General Meeting on 27 March. As a result, the Board will be reduced in size from seven to six members.
«The Board of Directors thanks Albrecht Langhart for having supported the development of our company with great dedication and expertise, from a small start-up in 1993 to its current size,» said Chairman Matthias Reinhart.
