With the appointment of Yvonne Häring, «the Board of Directors is ensuring both continuity and further development along the successful path of the 150-year-old pension insurance company,» the company said in a statement released on Wednesday.

The 48-year-old Yvonne Häring has been Head of the Products & Actuarial Department (CPO) at Pax since 2020 and a member of the Executive Board as well as its Deputy Chairwoman. At the end of April, the Government Council of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft also elected her to the Board of Directors of Basellandschaftliche Gebäudeversicherung. From 2007 to 2019, the holder of a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Basel held various management positions at the then Basler Versicherungen. She is the mother of a daughter and lives in the Basel region.

The Board of Directors is convinced that, with Yvonne Häring as the new CEO and Peter Kappeler’s candidacy for Chairman of the Board at the 2027 Delegates’ Assembly, an ideal foundation is being created to ensure that Pax will continue to play a pioneering role in the Swiss pension landscape in the future, the statement added.

The recruitment process for Yvonne Häring’s successor as Head of Products & Actuarial has already been initiated and will be communicated as soon as possible.
