Helvetia Appoints New CEO for Specialty Lines Division
Helvetia has appointed Martin Gingg as the new CEO of Specialty Lines CH & International. He will assume the position at the beginning of 2026, the company announced in a statement on Friday.
He succeeds David Ribeaud, who previously headed the division in a dual function. Ribeaud will remain CEO of the Specialty Markets segment and is also set to take over the chairmanship of the Board of Directors of Helvetia Global Solutions (HGS) over the course of next year.
Gingg will also retain his current role as CEO of HGS, the statement added. The manager joined National Suisse in 2011, which was acquired by Helvetia in 2014. Before that, he spent six years in the US as Executive Director Financial Services at the consulting firm PwC and two years in London with the consulting firm Ernst & Young (now EY).
The Helvetia Specialty Lines division offers insurance solutions in the areas of engineering/technical insurance, transport/marine, aviation, space, art, and embedded insurance. The company operates its own branches in London and Singapore as well as a management agency (MGA) in Miami and currently employs around 360 people worldwide, according to its own figures.
