The independent asset manager has appointed Olivier Droz as Senior Manager Mortgages. According to a statement released Friday, this step will further strengthen Valvest’s mortgage expertise in Switzerland. Droz will support the firm in providing real estate investors with access to flexible financing solutions.

Droz brings extensive experience from leading Swiss financial institutions. In the field of real estate financing, he has held senior positions at Credit Suisse, MoneyPark, and UBS. His background includes advising corporate clients in the real estate and construction industries, structuring complex financing transactions, real estate valuations, risk management, and driving digital transformation in mortgage sales.

Financing Gap for Investors

The real estate financing environment is currently undergoing change. Stricter regulatory requirements (including Basel III) and strategic adjustments in the Swiss banking sector have created a financing gap, particularly for property developers and investors with more complex financing needs, the company said.
