What cars do you drive? Which is your favorite?

Even though I have a great affinity for beautiful cars, I currently drive a family car. However, when the weather is good, I’m usually out and about on my Vespa.

What advice would you give to your 20-year-old self?

Listen to your gut feeling!

What are you particularly proud of?

The development of my children and the fact that I have been able to help establish Deutsche Bank as a stable financial partner is Switzerland over the past 20 years.

What was your biggest defeat?

That I never managed to get over a 30 hadicap in golf.

What is your favorite wine?

German Pinot Gris (I grew up in a white wine region) and Spanish red wine from Priorat.

What projects are you currently working on?

We are currently working on pooling the strengths of our four divisions in Switzerland even more effectively in order to offer our customers the full added value of a globally active, strategically integrated universal bank with deep local roots.

What is most important to you at the moment ?

Health for myslef, my family and friends.

What would be the biggest surprise for someone who had to take over your job for a day?

How varied but also unpredictable the job of CEO can be.

What is your personal drive?

To learn something new everyday.

What are you afraid of?

Illness and war.

What is your favorite watch brand?

Patek Philippe, even though I don’t own one myself.

What do your employees value most about you ?

You’d have to aks my employees, but I keep hearing about my authenticity and humanity.

Your best investment ?

My children.

Clemens Kaiser is Chief Country Officer Switzerland and CEO of Deutsche Bank (Suisse) SA. He also heads the Private Bank Central Europe & Switzerland. A PhD in economics from the University of Tübingen, he has been with Deutsche Bank for 25 years, has worked in the Swiss unit since 2006, and has served as a member of the executive board for the past five years.
