Zug-Based Asset Manager Expands Board with Finance Professional
Stefan Hiestand has been appointed as a new member of the Board of Directors at QCAM Asset Management, the company announced in Zug on Wednesday.
Hiestand brings with him 40 years of leadership experience in international asset management and investment banking. In addition to his new role at QCAM, he serves as Chairman of the Board at Bantleon Convertible Experts. Since 2012, he has also been a member of the Board of Directors at Novavest Real Estate. Previously, he founded and led Aganola, which merged with Credit Suisse Asset Management in 2020. Earlier positions include senior roles at Jefferies (Switzerland) Ltd., Jefferies International in London, as well as Citicorp, NatWest, and J. Henry Schroder Bank.
Leadership Experience and Strong Network
Thomas Suter, CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors at QCAM, commented: «We are very pleased to welcome Stefan Hiestand to our team. Stefan brings a wealth of experience in asset management and an extensive network. This will enable us to continue our growth and strengthen our position in international asset management.»
Earlier this year, QCAM successfully launched the QCAM Short Term Fixed Income USD Fund with over one billion in invested assets, as previously reported by finews.com. The fund made a strategy—successfully implemented for clients since 2012 and consistently outperforming its benchmark—accessible to a broader group of professional investors for the first time.
The Fixed Income segment, alongside currency management, represents a key growth area for QCAM, increasingly attracting international investors.
