Zurich Asset Manager Joins SSI Group

The Zurich-based asset manager Monaval is joining the SSI Group, headquartered in Buch, canton of Schwyz, as revealed in a statement released on Friday.

In addition to traditional wealth management solutions, SSI also offers specialized services such as impact investing and fiduciary services. The SSI Group is a partner firm of Cinerius Financial Partners, based in Baar.

Founded in 1996, Monaval focuses on discretionary portfolio management for clients in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

Second Acquisition in 2025

Following the acquisition of Huber & Partner earlier this spring, this marks SSI’s second acquisition this year. With the acquisition of Monaval, the SSI Group increases its assets under management (AUM) by around 10 percent to CHF 2,7 billion. The Cinerius Group as a whole manages approximately CHF 15 billion.

As part of its strategy, Cinerius actively supports its partner firms in the identification, negotiation, execution, and financing of corporate acquisitions.

Strengthening Market Position

«The partnership with SSI and Cinerius provides Monaval with a reliable foundation to further develop its existing business model,» says Marcel Bammert, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Monaval.

«Monaval’s many years of experience, its excellent DACH-region network, and its strong professional expertise enhance our market position and contribute to our growth strategy,»
adds Oliver Amstad, Managing Director of SSI Holding.

«With Monaval, we are gaining an experienced firm for the SSI Group — one that shares our values and our vision of high-quality wealth management,»
says Gordian Giger, Head of Partnerships at Cinerius.

The completion of the transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.
