Fintech vertX IQ Finds New Leadership
The financial services and technology company vertX IQ has a new CEO and two new board members. According to the press release issued on Thursday, Alfred Widmer is the new CEO and member of the Board of Directors. Dave Stoll joins the top management body.
The two new additions, who are also referred to in the press release as «entrepreneurs and investors», will support the company's strong growth trajectory. Business relationships with customers and partners are to be expanded both in Switzerland and internationally.
Basis for Faster Decisions
The technology platform of vertX IQ, which was founded in Zug in 2021, enables institutional investors, particularly large pension funds, to digitize and simplify their data flows and processes. The investment side and liabilities are linked via a central platform, enabling strategic and operational decisions to be made more quickly and based on up-to-date facts
In his last role, Widmer was an investor and member of the Executive Board at a Swiss insurtech company, where he worked with the founding team to build up the digital insurer and position it in the Swiss market. Prior to that, he was a member of the Executive Board and Head of Distribution at Allianz Suisse, CEO of legal protection insurer Axa-Arag, Chief Operations Officer of Zurich Insurance Company (Morocco) and held other positions at Zurich Insurance in Switzerland, Spain and the UK. He also worked for strategy and technology consultant Arthur D. Little.
Former Employer Zurich Insurance Twice
Over the past ten years, Stoll has co-founded various ventuures and companies in the financial services sector and helped them to grow. Among other things, he co-founded a digital insurance platform in Spain, a smart contract technology company and a provider of guarantee insurance in Europe.
Stoll also previousely held various positions at Zurich Insurance, including CFO of Zurich Insurance Company in Brazil and CFO of ZurichConnect Switzerland. He also brings asset management and pension fund expertise from his time at Kessler and XTP Implementation Services.
