Will Bitcoin Suisse Soon Outsource Entire Processes to Abu Dhabi?
The turnaround has been successful: After a dismal 2023, Bitcoin Suisse is back in the black. It managed to do so in the first quarter, and the trend is continuing, as CEO Andrej Majcen says in the finews.ch podcast. «We are still profitable, benefiting from the markets and from the fact that our customers are more active,» he notes.

In an interview with finews.ch editor-in-chief Dominik Buholzer, Majcen also comments on expansion in the Middle East. Bitcoin Suisse has been represented in Abu Dhabi for just over a year. Is it likely that entire processes will soon be relocated from Switzerland to this region? Majcen does not want to rule this out completely. Growth is decisive, he says. Ultimately, however, it is about diversification.
Majcen still sees Switzerland in a good position when it comes to cryptocurrencies. «But other locations have caught up and are taking innovation very seriously,» he says. The latter is something he criticizes in Switzerland. «We have arrived in a work-life balance world — but the world around us turns a little differently,» he says.
