Geneva-based Private Bank CBH Under New Management
The Geneva-based private banking group CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique (CBH) has a new CEO. His name is Simon Benhamou and he replaces Philippe Cordonier, who is retiring, with immediate effect.
In its Tuesday morning announcement, the Board of Directors confirmed the appointment of Alfonso Liparulo as the new Head of Private Banking. Liparulo will also join the Executive Board.
A CEO From the Family
Benhamou joined the bank in 2009 as a wealth manager and later became head of EMEA. He has been a member of the Executive Board since 2014 and took over as Head of Private Banking in 2018. He has also led the Group's digital transformation since 2019. The new CEO will be supported by two deputies, Julien Faure-Geors and Amos Poncini. The Benhamou family also holds the majority of shares in the bank.
Prior to joining CBH, Liparulo spent around ten years in various management positions at Pictet & Cie. In 2019, he joined Mirabaud, where he initially served as Chief of Staff Wealth Management before assuming commercial responsibility for the Mena, UK, Asia & Africa region.
Founded in 1975, the CBH private banking group, employs around 300 people at 10 locations worldwide. At the end of 2023, client assets amounted to 14.3 billion Swiss francs. Sylvain Matthey has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since last year, as finews.ch reported.
