These Neobanks Excel in Retail Banking
In the latest Consumer Bank Ranking Switzerland 2024 by the Data & Analytics Group YouGov, Neon (72.9 score points), Yuh (71.5 score points), and Zak (64.1 points) claim the top three spots, as announced in a statement on Wednesday.
The ranking is based on customer satisfaction scores from the YouGov BrandIndex, which gathered feedback from current and former customers between September 1, 2023, and August 31, 2024.
Neobanks Are More Popular With Men than Women
Raiffeisen ranks 4th in the Consumer Bank Ranking 2024 for Switzerland scoring 62.9 points. Zürcher Kantonalbank follows in 5th place with 60.8 points, Revolut takes 6th place (59.7 points), and Luzerner Kantonalbank ranks 7th (57.6 points). Berner Kantonalbank comes in 8th (55.1 points), Banque Cantonale Vaudoise is 9th (52.9 points), and St. Galler Kantonalbank rounds out the top 10 with 52.4 points.
Neobanks are more popular with men than women. Among men, Neon and Yuh occupy the first two ranks, followed by Raiffeisen in 3rd place. Among women, Raiffeisen and the Zürcher Kantonalbank are at the forefront, followed by Revolut.
Youth Prefer Traditional Banks
«Although digital banking is becoming more mainstream, those aged 18 to 29 still prefer to consider opening an account with a traditional bank rather than a purely digital bank,» states Susanne Vontobel, Head of Financial Market Research at YouGov Switzerland.
