Former Credit Suisse Manager to Drive Swiss Equity Strategy at EFG
EFG Asset Management has named Damian Burkhardt as Senior Portfolio Manager for Swiss Equities. Based in Zurich, he will report to Daniel Murray, Deputy CIO & Global Head of Research, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
Since 2023, Burkhardt has served as Head of Swiss Equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Prior to that, he worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, where he was primarily responsible for managing several Swiss equity funds and a thematic fund.
He also previously held roles at Blackrock Private Equity Partners and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, one of the largest pension funds in the U.S.
Driving Growth Agenda
In his new role at EFG, Burkhardt will also manage the «New Capital Swiss Small and Mid-Cap Future Leaders Fund». He will focus on advancing the growth agenda of EFG’s Swiss Equities franchise and developing Swiss equity strategies. This will involve a systematic analysis of Swiss companies, combined with an active management approach to identify attractive investment opportunities in Switzerland.
