EFG Achieves Another Record Profit

This means EFG has once again surpassed the level reached at the end of 2025 and also posted significant year-on-year growth. Assets under management increased by 19 percent compared with the previous year, according to a statement released alongside the four-month figures.

Strong Inflows of New Client Assets

New business developed particularly dynamically. In the first four months, EFG attracted net new client assets of 3,7 billion francs. This corresponds to an annualised growth rate of six percent and is at the upper end of the bank’s own target range. Positive contributions came from all regions, particularly Continental Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Profitability Continues to Improve

The annualised return on equity exceeded 23 percent. At the same time, the cost-income ratio improved to around 70 percent. The impact of lower interest rates was partly offset by higher commission income and strong client activity.

EFG also benefited from the settlement of a legacy case related to its former life insurance business.

Growth Through Acquisitions

At the same time, EFG is continuing the integration of its recent acquisitions, including Cité Gestion and Investment Services Group, both acquired in 2025.

The acquisition of Quilvest Switzerland, announced at the beginning of 2026, is also progressing according to plan, the bank said. Including Quilvest, assets under management would already amount to around 194 billion francs.

Expansion of Relationship Manager Teams

EFG is also continuing to expand its relationship manager teams. In the first four months of the year, 25 new relationship managers joined the bank, while another 26 are reportedly close to signing contracts. In total, the group now employs 761 relationship managers worldwide.

The bank also strengthened its capital position. The CET1 capital ratio rose to 14,7 percent, while the total capital ratio increased to 18,1 percent.

CEO Giorgio Pradelli described the figures as a strong start to the new strategic cycle. Despite geopolitical uncertainties and volatile markets, EFG had managed to grow profitably, he said. The bank intends to use this momentum to underpin its ambitious targets for the 2026–2028 strategy period.
