Wealth Management Bank Lobby Appoints New CEO
The VAV board has appointed Manuel Rybach as its new CEO, effective January 1, 2025. Rybach will succeed Pascal Gentinetta, Head of Public Policy & Stakeholder Management at Julius Baer, who successfully led the VAV for the past ten years on a part-time basis. Gentinetta will now focus on his role at Julius Baer.
Leadership Transition at VAV
Manuel Rybach currently serves as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at EFG International, where he oversees public policy, corporate sustainability, and the corporate office. Prior to his tenure at EFG, he held the position of Global Head of Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs at Credit Suisse. As part of the leadership change at VAV, EFG International has delegated Rybach to serve as the association’s new CEO alongside his existing responsibilities at the bank.
«Manuel Rybach is a profound connoisseur of the Swiss financial center, particularly its strategic and regulatory framework. He possesses an extensive national and international network, spanning politics, administration, and associations,» stated Giorgio Pradelli, President of the VAV.
Pradelli also extended his gratitude to the outgoing CEO, Pascal Gentinetta, for his exceptional work over the past decade. «Thanks to Pascal Gentinetta, the representation of wealth management banks has gained significant momentum, both internally and externally. Today, VAV stands as an established voice for the interests of our industry. This is rooted in the strategic repositioning initiated and successfully implemented by Pascal Gentinetta about ten years ago.»
