New COO at GenTwo: From Accenture to Assetization
The operations of GenTwo, the Swiss securitization start-up, are gaining momentum. By the end of the year, the company plans to have around 120 employees on its payroll.
GenTwo specializes in the securitization of previously non-tradable assets in the form of Actively Managed Certificates (AMCs). The company refers to the core of its business model as «Assetization.»
14 Years at Accenture
According to a press release, Bastian Barthelmann assumes his role as Chief Operating Officer effective today. Barthelmann spent nearly 14 years at Accenture in Zurich, initially as a management consultant. Between 2019 and 2022, he served as Lead for Customer, Sales & Services, and from September 2022, he held the position of Lead Sales & Service at Accenture Song, the technology-driven creative group within the consulting firm.

«At Accenture, he played a key role in building and scaling the consulting practice for digital transformation in Switzerland, while also driving growth for clients in the financial services sector,» GenTwo noted.
GenTwo CEO Philippe A. Naegeli is excited about the «proven ability» of the new COO to «scale operations and enhance execution.» This, he said, will be «crucial in expanding our global presence.»
