Partners Group Expands Network With Mediobanca

Partners Group, a leading player in private markets, announced on Wednesday that it will collaborate with the private banking arm of Italy’s Mediobanca.

Through this partnership, Mediobanca Private Banking’s wealthy clients will gain access to Partners Group’s private equity investments.

The primary vehicle for this access is the Partners Group Global Value SICAV, one of the longest-standing evergreen solutions (a fund with no fixed term, capable of issuing and investing in new shares at any time). Launched 17 years ago, this fund was one of Europe’s first private equity evergreen funds.

Like Large Institutional Investors

According to Partners Group, the fund follows a relative value approach, aimed at identifying attractive private equity investments across market cycles and regions. The portfolio comprises over 500 positions.

The distribution partnership will offer Mediobanca clients access to the same underlying investments typically available to large institutional investors through closed-end structures.

Different Partnership with Blackrock

Mediobanca Private Banking employs 100 professionals across 11 locations in Italy.

The Swiss-listed Partners Group recently presented its half-year results. The firm employs 1,800 people and manages assets worth around $150 billion. A few days ago, the Zug-based company also announced a partnership with Blackrock, although this collaboration follows a somewhat different structure.
