Lombard Odier Appoints Former UBS Banker as Regional Head

Effective from the beginning of September, Frédéric Praz has taken on the role of Head of Private Client Services for the France, Belgium, and Luxembourg region at Lombard Odier & Co. Based in Geneva, he reports directly to Frédéric Rochat, Managing Partner and Co-Head of the Private Client Business, as announced by the bank on Monday. Additionally, Praz will join the Executive Committee for Private Clients.

The new regional head brings over 30 years of banking experience. Since 2017, he has been the head of the international market for Switzerland at Lombard Odier. Prior to that, he held various key positions at UBS, where he began his career in 1992, including leading teams for the French UHNW and HNW client base.

Praz is tasked with driving Lombard Odier’s growth strategy in the Francophone markets of Europe, a strategic region for the group.

Part of Succession Planning

The appointment is part of the plan to transfer the responsibilities of Limited Partner Gérard Felley, who is soon to retire. This ensures a smooth transition. Felley will continue to oversee the «Grandes Familles» teams and remain a member of the executive management for the private client division, according to the private bank.
