Corporate Payment Specialist Appoints New CEO
Mads Krumhardt Enggren, the former CEO of Sweden's SEB Kort Bank, took over as CEO and Chairman of AirPlus International's management team on Thursday, the company announced.
He succeeds Oliver Wagner, who is returning to the Lufthansa Group after four and a half years at the helm of the corporate payment expert.
28 Years of Experience in the Credit Industry
The Danish economist brings 28 years of experience in the financial and credit card industry, including 20 years with SEB Kort. During his tenure, he held various senior management positions, particularly in sales and product development. He was appointed CEO of SEB Kort in 2018 after serving as Head of Corporate Segment for seven years, where he led the development of B2B products in the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden).
New Management Team
Tove Markelin also joins the management team of AirPlus. After earning her law degree, the Finnish lawyer began her career in 2007 at the Finnish law firm Dittmar & Indrenius. She joined SEB Kort in 2014 as Legal Counsel and was promoted to Acting Head of Legal in 2021, eventually becoming Head of Legal in 2022.
These new appointments to the management team come as AirPlus transitions from the Lufthansa Group to SEB Kort Bank. As of August 1, 2024, AirPlus’s executive leadership consists of four managing directors: Mads Krumhardt Enggren (CEO), Andreas Hagenbring, Tove Markelin, and Erik Mosch.
Mosch who previously held a general power of attorney at AirPlus, has been appointed managing director.
