Partners Group Can Only Moderately Increase Assets

In the first half of 2024, Partners Group received capital commitments of $11,1 billion dollar; in the previous year, it was $8 billion dollar. As the Zug-based private market specialist announced on Thursday evening, a large portion of this is due to customized solutions. Their share is 77 percent, compared to 68 percent in the previous year.

Assets under management (AuM) increased to $149,2 billion dollar, as announced by the Zug-based private market specialist on Thursday evening.

The capital commitments exceeded market expectations. However, the increase in assets under management fell short of analysts' expectations.

More sales compared to the previous year

In the first half of the year, Partners Group invested $9,2 billion dollar, significantly more than in the same period of the previous year ($5,9 billion dollar).

The sale of participations brought in $9,2 billion dollar in the first half of the year. In the previous year, it was only $5,4 billion dollar. The exit environment remains subdued, the company writes.

«We are pleased to report solid business development at a time of transition for the industry,» says David Layton, Partner and Chief Executive Officer.

Trend towards customized mandates

Partners Group sees long-term sustainable growth potential in the private markets industry. In particular, the shift towards customized mandates and the growing demand from individual investors will contribute to this. Customized solutions are becoming increasingly important for the industry, as they promise customers more flexibility for their private markets exposure.
