«Banque Cantonale du Jura» Surges Thanks to Interest Operations

Compared to the same period last year, BCJ’s operating profit climb by over 21 percent to 19.9 million Swiss francs. As for net profit, this also increased by 8.5 percent and amounted to 10.3 million francs, the bank announced on Thursday.

Interest operations, the most important source of income, increased by around 14 percent to 28.7 million francs. Meanwhile, income from commission and trading operations increased by almost 20 percent to 9.7 million francs.

Despite the marginal decrease in customer deposits, these figures as well as the growing customer loans and the expanded mortgage portfolio show the extent to which BCJ was able to strengthen its market environment in the first half of the year.
