Syz Group: CFO Departs

Alexandre de Montbas, who took on the role of CFO nearly three years ago, has left the Syz Group. The Geneva private bank confirmed the news in response to inquiries from finews.com.

«We can confirm that Alexandre de Montbas, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), decided to resign from his position at the end of April,» the media office stated. De Montbas plans to focus on personal projects.

Robert Painchaud Steps in Temporarily

Throughout his tenure, de Montbas made a significant contribution to the financial strategy and operations, playing a crucial role in the company's successes, the bank further noted.

Until a successor is appointed, Robert Painchaud will serve as interim CFO.

In February 2025, Christoph Raninger joined Syz as Group CFO. He brings extensive experience as a senior banking executive, having served in board-level roles at institutions such as Unicredit, Bawag, and Volksbanken. Most recently, he was both the CFO and CEO of Wiener Privatbank.
