Sygnum Bank: Those are the Corporate Crypto Clients

In a press release, Sygnum Bank writes that it now conducts over 1,000 trades per day for over twenty B2B customers on its «secure infrastructure and scalable APIs,» with «99.9 percent executed automatically within seconds.»

Among the now more than twenty B2B customers, according to the crypto bank, are companies like PostFinance, Zuger and Luzerner Kantonalbank, VZ Depotbank, PKB, SocGen Forge, Bordier, and Bison Digital Assets.

61 Percent Investment Novices

In terms of volume, PostFinance certainly stands out. Their Head of Digital Assets, Alexander Thoma, says that «cryptocurrencies offer an additional investment option and are here to stay.» Collaborating with a «regulated partner like Sygnum Bank has enabled our customers to access digital assets through their principal bank securely and conveniently.»

According to PostFinance, 61 percent of end customers buying crypto assets are investment novices: they have never made any investments before, at least through PostFinance.

PKB: Proactively Addressing Customer Needs

Luca Venturini, CEO of PKB Private Bank, is quoted in the press release as saying, «This partnership with Sygnum Bank, a prominent and well-established digital asset player, allows us to respond to our clients’ needs proactively, expanding our asset class offering to foster PKB’s wealth solutions.»

Sygnum Bank itself emphasizes that the introduction of exchange-traded funds for Bitcoin and Ethereum played an important role in broadening and legitimizing crypto assets. According to Fritz Jost, Chief B2B Officer at Sygnum Bank, their offering contributes to bringing regulated services for digital assets into the mainstream financial system. «Through our growing network of B2B partners, Sygnum is now poised to broaden and accelerate this trend».

Focus on the EU Market

In particular, Sygnum also wants to target the EU market. The European Union's new regulation called «Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR)» paves the way for regulated financial services in the crypto sphere.
