Business Lunch: Dine Like a Pictet in Geneva
9. Les Dix Vins, Rue Jacques-Dalphin 29bis, Carouge
The newly-hip Geneva suburb of Carouge isn't just home to mysterious freeports: Les Dix Vins maintains a relaxed bistro-style atmosphere that suits Geneva's noble bankers. Dished served up by René Fracheboud, who has run the establishment for more than 20 years, are known as«inévitable» – as in, absolutely necessary.
Besides wine from France's Côte du Rhone Dix Vins celebrates traditional French cuisine – snails and calf's head included. Mains cost between 20 francs and 52 francs.
10. Le Lion d’Or, Cologny, Place Pierre Gautier 5, Cologny

Gourmands make the pilgrimage to the «Golden Lion» on Lake Geneva's eastern shore in the summertime. The legendary terrace offers sweeping lakeside views, but the main draw is the club sandwich with foie gras de canard, or Saint-Pierre et coquillages (fish and scallops). Mains from 68 francs.
11. Domaine de Châteauvieux, Chemin de Châteauvieux 16, Satigny

Nestled high above Lake Geneva, Domaine de Châteauvieux is a sort of Versailles of the Genevan food scene. The restaurant and 16th-century vineyard, the crown jewel of a small imperium built by restaurateur Philippe Chevrier, currently has 19 Gault-Millau points.
Twelve rooms and one suite are also available for this not willing (or able) to make the journey home after a gourmet supping. Dishes range in price from 96 francs to 290 francs.
