At UBS in Geneva, Jean-François Beausoleil will step down from his role as Regional Director and Head of Wealth Management, the bank said on Thursday.

Marc Genova will take over as Head of Wealth Management Geneva and Regional Director as of July 1. Genova looks back on a nearly 40-year career at UBS, which began with a banking apprenticeship in French-speaking Switzerland. Over the course of his career, he held roles in corporate banking and risk management, among others, and occupied several leadership positions. Most recently, he was responsible for WM Europe International South within Global Wealth Management.

In his new role, Genova will report to both August Hatecke and Sabine Keller-Busse.

Beausoleil has shaped UBS in the region over many years and led it with great commitment and success, the bank said. His career began in 1987 as an intern at the former Union de Banques Suisses. After holding various leadership roles in wealth management, he was appointed Regional Director in 2009. In the coming months, he will continue to serve the company as a Senior Advisor to ensure a smooth transition before retiring.

With this change, UBS is focusing on continuity and experience while at the same time setting the course for future development in the important Geneva region, the statement added.
