CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique: Juicy Net New Money in 2025
CBH Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique reported assets under management of 18.4 billion francs for 2025, up nearly 13 percent compared to year-end 2024, the bank said on Thursday in a statement.
The increase was driven by net new money inflows of around 2 billion francs. The bank described the development as record growth and pointed to strategic investments aimed at strengthening its position, particularly in Switzerland and Asia.
Higher Costs Weigh on Operating Result
Total revenues amounted to 173.5 million francs, below the previous year’s record level. At the same time, CBH stepped up spending to expand operational and commercial capabilities.
Operating expenses rose 19 percent to 113.5 million francs, with human capital accounting for a substantial share of the increase. As a result, operating income declined to 55.7 million Swiss francs.
Net Profit Up, Capital Base Strengthened
Net income reached 37.9 million francs, an increase of 4.7 percent compared to 2024. Consolidated shareholder equity (including 2025 profits) rose to 493 million francs from 445 million francs at the end of 2024.
The Tier 1 ratio stood at 35.8 percent. The bank also highlighted its reaffirmed BBB/A-2 rating from S&P.
Finma Question Remains Open
Simon Benhamou, who took over as CEO in October 2024 (finews reported) and is effectively presenting his first full-year results, was quoted in the release as saying: «The scaling in our assets primarily reflects the quality and dedication of our teams in delivering excellence to our clients. This momentum is essential to ensuring long-term sustainable development and supporting the Group's continued expansion.»
Last week, finews reported that the bank may be facing an enforcement procedure by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority Finma. Asked about the matter, CBH told finews: «Consistent with our practice, CBH does not comment on alleged or actual decisions taken by FINMA with respect to regulated institutions. CBH maintains a constructive and transparent dialogue with its regulator and operates in close cooperation with it within the applicable legal and regulatory framework.»
