Revolut Seeks Senior Management for Swiss Expansion
The expansion plans were outlined on Thursday by Julian Biegmann, General Manager Switzerland at Revolut, in a public LinkedIn post. «We’re building the future of Swiss banking,» Biegmann wrote, announcing a recruitment push aimed at taking Revolut «to the next level in Switzerland.»
The roles currently advertised include Head of Risk, Head of Legal, Treasury Manager, Tax Manager, Business Risk Manager, and a Strategy & Operations Manager covering both retail and business clients. The breadth and seniority of these positions is unprecedented for Revolut in the local market.
Compliance-Heavy Signal
Notably, several of the open roles are squarely focused on regulatory, legal and risk management functions. Industry observers see this emphasis as more than coincidental. It may be read as an indication that Revolut is laying the organizational groundwork for a more autonomous Swiss operation.
For years, recurring rumors in the Swiss banking and fintech community have suggested that Revolut is considering applying for a Swiss banking license. While the company has never confirmed such plans publicly, the current hiring wave adds a new layer of substance to those expectations.
«Impact at scale»
In his post, Biegmann stressed that Revolut is looking for candidates comfortable in «fast-paced environments» and eager to make an «impact at scale.» Applications are being handled exclusively via Revolut’s formal recruitment portal, he added.
Revolut already serves a large and growing Swiss client base under its European licence framework. Long-rumored larger ambitions are now being translated into concrete organisational steps in Switzerland.
