ZKB Appoints New Head of Multi Asset Solutions
ZKB has named Roger Rüegg as Head of Multi Asset Solutions within its Asset Management division. He succeeds Anja Hochberg, who will assume the role of Chief Investment Officer.
Rüegg has been serving in the position on an interim basis since the beginning of November and will officially take over at the start of December, according to a statement released on Friday.
Rüegg has worked in ZKB’s Asset Management division for more than 14 years. Since 2019, he has led the Quant Multi Asset team. Prior to that, he spent six years as Portfolio Manager of a globally invested equity fund, whose assets under management grew to more than 2 billion Swiss francs under his leadership.
The manager holds a PhD in Banking and Finance as well as a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich.
«Roger Rüegg is the ideal choice for this key position,» said Iwan Deplazes, Head of Asset Management at ZKB. «With his academic expertise, many years of experience in asset management, strong track record in high-performing multi-asset solutions, and proven leadership skills, Roger brings all the qualities needed to continue the successful development of the division initiated by Anja Hochberg.»
With assets under management exceeding 40 billion francs, ZKB has become the second-largest multi-asset manager in Switzerland, the statement added. This includes the Swisscanto portfolio and pension funds as well as the entire mixed special mandate business for institutional and large private clients.
