Migros Bank Appoints Head of Customer Relations & Experience

Effective at the beginning of 2026, Thomas Friedli will take over as Head of the Customer Relations & Experience unit within Products & Marketing at Migros Bank. This newly established unit will be responsible for central sales management and for user experience initiatives at the customer interfaces of the various distribution channels, according to a statement released on Friday.

Since 2022, Friedli has been responsible for managing the retail banking business in the Northwestern Switzerland region. Before joining Migros Bank in 2021, he held various positions at Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank and Credit Suisse, the statement continued.

Internal Successor Appointed

Friedli will be succeeded by Benjamin Mick (pictured below), who will also assume responsibility for private clients in the Northwestern Switzerland region starting in January.

Mick has many years of sales experience in retail banking, the statement added. «His strong expertise in the holistic advisory of affluent private clients and his leadership experience in implementing strategic and change management processes create ideal conditions for his new role,» said Manuel Kunzelmann, CEO of Migros Bank.

The new Regional Head of Retail Banking has been with Migros Bank since 2016, most recently serving as Head of the Basel market area. He has also held other leadership positions as a branch and team manager. Before joining Migros Bank, he worked in client advisory roles in both the banking and insurance sectors.
