AMP Partners’ Big Dubai Event
In his speech, the Swiss Ambassador, Arthur Mattli, thanked AMP Partners for its decision to expand into the Gulf region in 2024, thereby promoting and applying the strengths of Switzerland as a financial center and the concept of Swissness in asset management in the region. He also emphasized that AMP Partners’ ability to overcome challenging times—such as the 2009 financial crisis—and continue to grow during its first quarter-century deserved the highest recognition. The diplomat had traveled from Abu Dhabi specifically to attend the celebration.
«Resilient And Competent»
At the event held at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria (DIFC) hotel—attended by nearly one hundred guests, including clients, business partners, and AMP employees—AMP Chairman Marwan Mezher emphasized that clients’ financial investments had delivered positive performance even during the most recent major crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mario Al-Jebouri, Senior Executive Officer and Managing Director at AMP Partners in Dubai, stressed that the firm focuses not only on growing client portfolios. «It is important to us to preserve, protect, and grow our clients’ capital—which includes not only individuals but also many high-net-worth families—through proactive risk management and adherence to the highest ethical standards. Our goal is to stand by them for decades, even across generations.»

Eventful History
AMP Partners was founded at the turn of the millennium by AMP Partners Luxembourg and UEB Switzerland, a subsidiary of the French banking giant BNP Paribas. In 2012, as universal banks around the world began consolidating their capital in response to Basel III regulations and sought to refocus on core banking operations, BNP Paribas (Switzerland) sold its minority stake in AMP to existing shareholders. In 2024, the portfolio manager expanded into the Middle East, opening branches not only in the DIFC but also in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) in Doha.
