Luzerner Kantonalbank Poaches Senior Executive from UBS

The Luzerner Kantonalbank (LUKB) announced that Désirée von Michaelis will join the bank at the beginning of 2026. After an induction phase, she will assume leadership of the Corporate Clients & Private Banking department on March 1, 2026, succeeding Beat Hodel, who, as previously announced, will retire at that time.

According to Tuesday's statement, von Michaelis brings more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector and proven expertise in developing and marketing complex financial and service models.

Career Path at Credit Suisse

Désirée von Michaelis currently leads Wealth Planning at der UBS Switzerland, a role she also held at Credit Suisse (CS) between 2019 and 2023. From 2009 to 2018, she worked at CS Switzerland in the Corporate & Institutional Clients division, focusing on sales and the further development of Global Custody. She began her career in 2000 as a Consultant & Project Manager at Oliver Wyman.
