Zurich Global Ventures Appoints New Finance Chief
Zurich Global Ventures (ZGV), a subsidiary of the Zurich Insurance Group, has appointed Emel Can as its new chief financial officer. According to finews.sources, Can assumed her
new position in Zurich this July.
In this role, Can reports to Cara Morton, the CEO of ZGV, and works closely with Zurich’s group finance team, led by Claudia Cordioli.
She succeeds Stephan Bein, who had been the company’s CFO since 2021.
Can has nearly three decades of experience in finance and auditing. She was most recently the head of group internal audit at Partners Group in Zug. From 2013 until 2021, she was a partner at Deloitte Switzerland, where she led the insurance audit and assurance practice. Prior to that, she spent 16 years at PwC in various management positions across Switzerland, New York, and Istanbul.
ZGV operates global platform businesses in life protection, employee benefits, and travel, which distribute retail, corporate, and employee-focused insurance propositions across the globe via its businesses, such as BOXX Insurance, which finews.ch reported in July.
