Las Thursday evening, the groundbreaking ceremony for «The Moss» took place, marking the start of construction on this high-end project in the heart of Kilchberg. 

The project, situated on one of the last bigger plots in the village center, will consist of five buildings with a total of 53 condominiums, ranging from 2.5 to 5.5 rooms. The apartments are generously designed, offering 88 to 195 square meters of living space, complemented by 15 to 58 square meters of outdoor areas, many with lake or panoramic views.

Kilchberg is currently regarded as one of the most desirable residential locations in the Zurich region, benefitting from proximity to the city and Lake Zurich, excellent highway access,  as well as schools and shopping facilities.

LLB Switzerland Sends a Strong Signal

The project is being financed by LLB Switzerland, a subsidiary of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank. With this move, the bank is seizing an opportunity to further strengthen its position in the highly competitive Zurich mortgage market.

Also playing a central role is entrepreneur and investor Claudio Cisullo, who is not only acting as an investor but also as a co-developer. «The Moss is the realization of a vision: we want to provide people with a new, high-qulality living environment,» Cisullo commented, describing the groundbreaking as a «visible sign of confidence».

Move-In from 2027

One-third of the apartments have already been reserved. The first units are expected to be ready for occupancy in late autumn 2027. In addition to the LLB, Nordstern is acting as general contractor, while Markstein is responsible for marketing the project.
