VZ Increases Profits in the First Half of the Year

The VZ Gruppe earned more in the first half of 2025. Revenue grew by 9.9 percent to 277.9 million Swiss francs. Net profit was up 9.0 percent at 112.0 million francs.

As expected, net interest income declined significantly, the company said in a statement on Friday. At 23.3 million francs, it was 29 percent below the previous year's figure.

Strong Demand for Advice

Fee income in the first half of the year, on the other hand, grew by 14 percent to 21.2 million francs, the statement continued. Net new money amounted to 3.0 billion francs, and assets under management rose by 14 percent compared to June 30, 2024, to 56.5 billion francs. Demand remains strong, and more and more people are recognizing the value of sound advice on retirement and estate planning.

The group's balance sheet grew by 500 million to 8 billion francs. This growth came almost exclusively from additional customer account balances, VZ writes. The combined core capital ratio is 28.4 percent.

Full Year Below Long-Term Average

«We expect demand for our services to grow in line with the average of recent years,» says CEO, Giulio Vitarelli. «Lower interest rates will temporarily lead to lower percentage growth in revenues in the second half of the year than in the first half. As announced in March, overall growth in the 2025 financial year will therefore be below the long-term average - assuming that the financial markets remain stable.»
