UBS Share Price Unfazed by Sale of Large Stake

According to reports by Bloomberg and Reuters, an unidentified institutional investor has sold their entire stake in UBS. Around 16 million shares, worth approximately 503 million francs in total, were sold. The stake corresponds to roughly 0,5 percent of the Swiss banking giant’s share capital.

The sale price per share was 31,46 francs, according to available documents. Compared with Monday’s closing price of 31,91 francs, this represents a discount of 1,4 percent.

Fully Subscribed

The transaction was arranged by Goldman Sachs. The offering was reportedly fully subscribed shortly after the placement began, the documents further show.

On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., UBS shares were trading at 31,78 francs, down 0,41 percent. In early trading, the price had temporarily fallen as low as 31,46 francs.

Since the start of the year, UBS shares have gained around 15 percent in value. From the year’s low on April 9 — following turbulence triggered by the announcement of Trump’s tariffs — the stock is up nearly 54 percent.
