Pax Brings ALM Expert to the Executive Board

Samuel Müller has been appointed as the new Head of Portfolio Management and member of the Executive Board at Pax Asset Management, effective June 1, 2025. He is a proven financial market expert and experienced ALM specialist, according to a statement from the company.

Müller comes from the insurer Baloise. There, he has been responsible for the Group's private asset portfolio with a volume of 4 billion Swiss francs since 2018 and oversaw the entire investment process, from due diligence and fund and manager selection through to ongoing monitoring and representation on the Investment Committee.

Career Started at the Swiss National Bank

Müller began his professional career at the Swiss National Bank before moving to PPCmetrics as a Senior Investment Consultant, where he later worked as Team Leader Asset Liability Management. In this role, his responsibilities included developing and monitoring investment strategies for institutional clients as well as conducting ALM studies and risk analyses.

Samuel Müller is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He also holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics from the University of Basel, according to the statement.
