Francisco Fernandez Brings Star Racer Onboard as Investor
Danish racing driver Kevin Magnussen is joining Racing Unleashed as an investor and strategic partner. The Swiss-based company offers high-end racing simulator experiences and is pursuing ambitious growth plans with lounges in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Racing Unleashed was founded in 2018 by Francisco Fernandez, the former CEO of Avaloq. With Magnussen, the firm is adding world-class racing expertise to the team. «He’s not here to sit in the passenger seat – he’s here to help build,» Fernandez said.
Adding Street Credibility
At the heart of the partnership is «his ability to move seamlessly between the real and virtual worlds of racing,» Fernandez added.
According to the company, Magnussen will contribute to product development, community-building, and international expansion – while also boosting the brand’s visibility through content and events.
Also Racing for BMW M Motorsport
The Danish driver joined the McLaren Young Driver Programme at 17 and made his Formula 1 debut in 2014 with a podium finish at the Australian Grand Prix. He went on to drive for McLaren, Renault, and Haas F1.
Magnussen is currently a works driver for BMW M Motorsport in the top class of the FIA World Endurance Championship – Hypercar.
