Revolut Eyes Swiss Businesses With Yield-Driven Push
Starting now, Swiss Revolut Business customers with a Grow, Scale, or Enterprise subscription can invest their liquidity in flexible money market funds denominated in euros, US dollars, or British pounds. «An offering that was traditionally reserved for large corporations with significant capital reserves,» the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
Revolut particularly highlights the yield on its GBP-denominated fund: «Revolut Business customers can invest their funds in money market funds to grow their assets with a variable return of up to 4.08 percent in GBP (as of April 27, 2025).»
Virtual Swiss IBANs
Key features of the product include free deposits and withdrawals, daily yield payouts, and flexible access to funds. «We are excited to support businesses of all sizes in managing their money efficiently and without high fees,» said James Gibson, Head of Revolut Business, in the announcement.
The business product range is also being expanded to include virtual Swiss IBANs – a feature already available to private clients for several months (finews.ch (Article in German)).
Strong Momentum
Revolut reports that its Swiss business customer segment is growing rapidly, with monthly transaction volumes up nearly 80 percent and business deposits rising by 63 percent.
Revolut Switzerland head Julian Biegmann recently told finews.ch the number of Swiss business clients had surpassed 10,000 (Article in German).
Well Timed – or Not?
Revolut has announced a broader rollout of services, including FX forwards and improved interfaces to Swiss accounting software, according to Biegmann.
However, it remains to be seen whether foreign currency money market funds will gain traction in the current environment. Recent currency volatility has strengthened the Swiss franc significantly. Over the past twelve months, the US dollar has dropped around 9.5 percent against the franc, while the euro is down 4 percent and the pound 3.5 percent.
