Julius Baer Manager Leads New British Asset Manager in Geneva

Eric Porcheray was named as the managing director of DeaconCapital (Suisse) at the start of this year. The new asset manager is set to start operations in early 2025, upon its license approval by Finma.
Deacon Capital Asset Management DCAM, which is originally a British firm, is no stranger to the world of Swiss finance. The firm entered into an Enterprise asset management (EAM) agreement with Credit Suisse Zurich in 2007. A few years later, the company initiated an EAM agreement with the London division of UBS.
In 2013, DCAM executed a new EAM agreement with Bank Julius Baer in Zurich, following the firm’s acquisition of Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse), DCAM assisted the migration of all client portfolios into Bank Julius Baer’s Zurich platform.
11 Years at Julius Baer
In February 2020, DCAM found its way into the principality of Liechtenstein and launched an EAM Agreement with LGT.
Porcheray spent the last 11 years at Julius Baer in Geneva. He was most recently an executive director at the bank, working in relationship management for intermediaries in Western Switzerland and the Middle East. Before Julius Baer, Porcheray worked at Merrill Lynch Bank (Suisse), where he was responsible for external asset managers and direct Asia clients. He previously managed the bank’s regional service network team covering EMEA, LATAM and Asia Pacific.
DCAM is authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom, while
its regional representative office in Dubai’s DIFC has been regulated by the Dubai Financial Services
Authority (DFSA) as a representative office since 2009.
