GAM Investments has appointed Edmund Wandeler as a client director for multi-asset solutions. He joined the firm in Zurich in a hybrid position this April.

In his new role, Wandeler will focus on distribution GAM’s multi-asset investment solutions to institutional and wholesale clients across Switzerland. He reports to Daniel Durrer, the firm’s head of distribution for Switzerland.

Wandeler was formerly the head of institutional sales, Switzerland at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. He is better known as the former Swiss head of business development at Aberdeen Asset Management. While based in Zurich, he managed assets for Aberdeen that were worth over CHF 10 billion. He was also responsible for the firm’s global key accounts in Switzerland and was its primary contact for the largest clients with Swiss pension funds.
