The independent asset manager, Alpen Partners, has recruited an experienced portfolio management and trading trio from its rivals.

Carlos Menés Bioni, Fabian Baumgartner, and Dennis Elgegren joined the firm as portfolio managers at the end of 2024, as recently revealed.

They are based at Alpen Partners headquarters in Bäch/Wollerau.

From Credit Suisse to Alpen Partners

Beoni was previously a senior investment advisor at Credit Suisse in Zurich, where he advised ultra high-net-worth private clients across Mexico, Central America, and Venezuela. He also held several trading roles at Banco Santander. While based at Santander Madrid, he specialized in foreign exchange and rates markets. 

Baumgartner was formerly a relationship manager at VP Bank Zurich. Easier in his career, he held positions in the digital payments fraud investigation team at Western Union and the financial risk management team at Helvetia Insurance. He began his career as a relationship manager at Raiffeisen in Switzerland.

Before Alpen Partners, Elgegren was a trader at UBS in Zurich. In a former capacity, he was an equity analyst at Credit Suisse.
