Broker CFT Continues to Grow

The broker Compagnie Financière Tradition (CFT) achieved revenue of 1.13 billion Swiss francs in the past financial year, including contributions from joint ventures. At constant exchange rates, this represents an increase of 11 percent. In 2023, CFT surpassed the 1 billion Swiss franc revenue mark for the first time.

Excluding participations, revenue rose by 7,0 percent to 1,05 billion francs, according to a statement released on Thursday.

In the Interdealer Broking (IDB) business, growth amounted to 10,7 percent, while the smaller retail foreign exchange trading business in Japan (Non-IDB) saw an increase of 22,6 percent.

Higher Trading Volumes

In 2024, the company operated in a dynamic macroeconomic environment influenced by monetary policy adjustments by central banks in the world's major economies, CFT further stated. These developments, along with ongoing geopolitical uncertainties, contributed to the volatility of financial markets, leading to an increase in trading volumes across all regions and asset classes. This was further reinforced by the group's organic growth.

As usual, management has not provided guidance for the current year. The full annual report is set to be published on March 21.

The Lausanne-based company acts as an intermediary for financial institutions and professional traders in capital markets. CFT operates in more than 30 countries and employs over 2'400 people.
