Zurich Bankers Association has a new President

Patrick O. Müller heisst der neue Präsident des Zürcher Bankenverbandes. According to a press release issued on Thursday, the Association's Board of Directors unanimously elected the 46-year-old as the successor to Daniel Hunziker.

The new President is Regional Director Zurich of UBS and has worked for the combined major bank for 18 years. The Zurich region of UBS, which he heads, comprises the cantons of Zurich, Schaffhausen, Glarus and part of the canton of Schwyz.

Prior to his role as Regional Director in Zurich, he headed UBS's Institutional Business, Global Asset Servicing and the international corporate client business for almost six years. Prior to that, he held several management positions in the equities business of UBS Investment Bank.

His Predecessor also Works for UBS

«The financial center is a central pillar of the Zurich economy. I am looking forward to representing our industry as President of the Zurich Bankers Association to politicians, the business community and the public,» he says.

Daniel Hunziker, the predecessor, led the Zurich Bankers Association (ZBA) from 2019 to 2024 while also working for UBS. Previously, he served as Vice President from 2015 to 2019 and played a key role in establishing the ZBA as the voice of Zurich's finacial center. The Board of Directors extends its gratitude to Daniel Hunziker for his dedicated and impactful work, which will be honored at the 2024 General Meeting.
