Premium Chocolatier Läderach Tests New Store Concept
Accordingto Läderach, the new branch concept aims to further establish the company as «premium and progressive». With this goal in mind, the company based in Bilten in the canton of Glarus has also launched new products this year - from Chocolate Pearls, mini pralines and completely new Advent calendars to Moon Cakes in China. Additionally the «House of Läderach» chocolate museum in Bilten recently welcomed its milionth visitor after four years.
The company also opened its 200th chocolaterie worldwide this month with its latest branch on High Street in Kensington, London. This means that the branch network has doubled in just four and a half years. The 100th chocolaterie was opened in New York on 5th Avenue.

«The dynamic development of our company this year is confirmation of our international growth strategy. While we were able to strengthen our market position in our home market of Switzerland, our international locations in the USA and Europe in particular are ensuring our dynamic growth,» said CEO and Chairmand of the Board of Directors Johannes Läderach.
Additional Production Facility in Summer 2025
The company employs approximately 2,200 people from 70 nations. «We couldn't write this success story without them,» Läderach continued. By the end of the year, Läderach is forecasting sales growth of more than 15 percent for 2024.
Production capacity is currently seen as a bottleneck for further growth. This is why the third production facility in the canton of Glarus, also at the Bilten site, is due to start operations next summer. In future, all FrischSchoggi products will be manufactured on an area of around 13,000 square meters. The modular design allows for future expansion.
