Leadership Transition at Swiss Private Bank

Banque Bonhôte, headquartered in Neuchâtel, announced on Monday evening that Yves de Montmollin will step down as CEO, with Kim-Andrée Potvin set to take over the role. This leadership transition marks a significant milestone in defining the bank's future strategy.

De Montmollin has been with Banque Bonhôte since 2004. Before becoming CEO a decade ago, he served as the bank's Deputy Director. In April 2025, he will join the board of directors and assume the position of Vice Chairman.

After completing his studies at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and the Institut de Formation de Gestionnaire de Patrimoine in Geneva, de Montmollin served as an advisor to former Swiss Federal Councilors Kaspar Villiger and Adolf Ogi. He later worked at the Geneva-based Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild before joining Banque Bonhôte.

Strategic Leadership for a New Chapter

Potvin, who will take on the CEO role in early 2025, brings extensive experience and strategic expertise to lead the bank’s next growth phase. Her focus will center on innovation and adapting to evolving client needs, according to the bank’s statement.

She joined Banque Bonhôte a year ago as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, she held the same role at Bamboo Capital Partners, Landolt & Cie, and BNP Paribas (Switzerland).

A strong advocate for ESG initiatives, Potvin’s commitment aligns closely with the values of Banque Bonhôte, which holds the prestigious “B Corp” certification.

A New Era of Excellence

Founded in 1815 in Neuchâtel, Banque Bonhôte is primarily owned by Jean Berthoud, who chairs its board of directors. The bank operates additional branches in Biel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Solothurn, and Zurich.

«This leadership transition reflects Banque Bonhôte's commitment to balancing tradition with renewal. Kim-Andrée Potvin represents a new era in which the bank will continue to set the highest standards in client service and innovation,» Berthoud said.
